Hour 1: Queer and Christian?

6/4/2025
For far too long, homosexual activists have tried to twist Scripture to make it look as though the Bible supports same-sex attraction. Joe Dallas will join us to discuss another book recently released that tries, yet again, to make it look like God’s love knows no bounds – and therefore, there really is no need for repentance from sin. Using the ‘straight stick of God’s truth’ as our metric, we will examine some twisted ideas being ‘sold’ in the marketplace of ideas. Hour 1: The Immortal Mind

6/3/2025
Many scientists and doctors believe that there is no such thing as the soul. That there is no part of us that persists beyond death. We are not spiritual in any respect. We are made up of cells and tissue, and completely controlled by a material organ in our heads: the brain. Our guest, Dr. Michael Egnor, will make the case, based on 40 years of practice and over 7,000 brain surgeries, that science has gotten it all wrong. Dr. Egnor will present evidence that the brain alone does not explain the mind. Ann Wilson spent more than a decade longing for a better marriage and for her husband to be more attentive, more involved, more helpful, and just all-around better. It almost broke their marriage. But Ann discovered the power that God has given wives. No matter how long you've been married, you don't need to spend another minute hoping and wishing for things to be different. They can! And the power is in your hands. Hour 2: Standing For Your Faith

5/30/2025
John 15:13 says that there is no greater love than to lay down your own life for the life of a friend. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we gave you an opportunity to hear a powerful story of one man who lived this very verse when he rescued a friend and interpreter from the coming of the Taliban in Afghanistan when the U.S. pulled its forces out in 2021. He explained how that singular act turned into mission to rescue hundreds of others from the terrorists. We shared with you the firsthand account of man who found himself in the national spotlight and the subject of much ridicule because he refused to bake a cake for a same sex couple. His account of the ups and downs of this journey leading all the way to the highest court in the land is an example to us all of what it means to live out your faith boldly despite criticism and mockery in the marketplace of ideas. Unexpectedly in the last few years we have seen a greater acceptance of Socialism and its ideas across our nation and along with that acceptance has come a rewriting of history that says that Jesus was in favor of socialist ideas such as redistribution of wealth and welfare states. Our guest addressed this fallacy and how it is being used to lure young people into rejection of our capitalist society in favor of one that adheres to socialist ideas without exposing them to the dangerous negatives inherent in this philosophy. No marriage is without challenges, including Christian ones. But how those challenges are handled can be drastically different for believing couples. Our guest used her marriage to teach us 7 essential beliefs that can help a marriage thrive and survive while building a stronger love with its foundation buried deep in willingness to let God heal the marriage. Once again, our favorite husband and wife team invite you for another exploration of the news of the week through the lens of scripture. Hour 1: Fighting For The Truth

5/30/2025
On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we honored the men and women who serve in the armed forces by hearing from a husband and wife who endured the challenges of a soldier coming home from battle with the scars of war and how faith and love brought healing and restoration to their lives and marriage. Their story reminded us that even with the deepest wounds there is healing when we entrust our lives to the loving hands of God. Although there is a historical separation in time between the events of the Old and New Testaments our guest explained how explained the links between both part of the book as God’s whole revelation of Himself to the world. He explained how as far back as Genesis God has revealed His plan of salvation through His promised Son coming and becoming the sacrifice that provided salvation to mankind. Since Covid 19 how we work in the modern world has definitely changed, but our need to work and be successful not only in the doing but in honoring God and using the talents and skills He has given us, has not changed. Our guest laid out some strategies to help us discover what our spiritual gifts are and how to implement them as part of our work to create purpose and success in our professional lives. Why do believers have a fear of sharing the gospel message with those who need to hear it most? Our guest helped us better understand those fears and why this message of hope is so often rejected by non-believers and how to live our lives as living examples of His message of hope. It is time to dig deep into the headlines of the week as we hold to account more of the messages being bought and sold in the marketplace of ideas. Hour 2: Was Jesus A Socialist?

5/28/2025
Socialism is making a comeback-and so is the idea that "Jesus was a socialist." Today Lawrence Reed will show it is pure fantasy to believe that Jesus wanted earthly governments to redistribute wealth, centrally plan the economy, or impose welfare states. Our guest has an immensely popular video for Prager University, which has attracted more than four million views online. Poll after poll shows that young Americans have a positive image of socialism. In fact, more than half say they would rather live in a socialist country than in a capitalist one. Learn how to explode the myths that have lured in young people everywhere. Hour 2: The Cost of My Faith

5/27/2025
Why not just make the cake? That’s a question countless people across the country started asking in 2012, Jack Phillips told two men who walked into his Masterpiece Cakeshop that he couldn’t create a custom cake for their same-sex wedding. And the question only grew more urgent as he had to defend himself first before the Colorado Civil Rights Commission and then numerous courts—losing at every step of the way until the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in his favor in June 2018. But for Jack, there are deeper principles at stake—principles too precious to abandon for the sake of convenience and safety. These principles should be of concern to every American, including our guest’s adversaries. If the freedoms he has sought to protect are lost, they may never be regained. More than once, Aziz saved his life. And then he needed someone to save him. When President Joe Biden announced in April 2021 that the United States would be making a hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan, our guest knew he had to get Aziz and his family out before Taliban forces took over the country. Best of In The Market with Janet Parshall: The Reliability of the New Testament

5/24/2025
How did the New Testament come to be? The ancient writings that comprise the New Testament are critical for understanding the life, teachings, and impact of Jesus of Nazareth, all of which are central to Christianity. But how were these texts circulated, collected, and given their canonical status? Is the New Testament a trustworthy source for learning about Jesus and the early church? New Testament scholar Charles L. Quarles will join us to address the most pressing questions regarding the study of New Testament texts, their transmission, and their collection into the canon. Hour 1: Where We Find Our Hope

5/23/2025
God’s prophetic clock continues to tick, but on this side of eternity there are so many questions about end times events that it is important to have clear, biblical facts to ground our understanding of what is to come. On In The Market with Janet Parshall we sort fact from supposition as our guest tackled some of the most challenging questions related to what is yet to come. How do we add spiritual heft to our walk with the Lord and so that we can stand firm against the attacks of the enemy? We turned to our beloved friend who normally joins us to answer your spiritual warfare questions, to learn more about why it is important be doctrinally sound in our faith. He addressed the confusion that often shipwrecks believers and took us once again to God’s word to ground us firmly in His truth. The ideology of transgenderism has grown in acceptance at a rapid rate across the country. But our guests explained that what is being touted as evidence-based truth is in fact an ideology with psychological underpinnings that give it an air of credibility. That in turn is leading to struggles for individuals and families by creating gender confusion and in many cases severing family bonds. One of our guests, who himself lived for a time as a woman, used his story to explain how there is a way back from this confusion and how it is found in understanding God’s design for all of us. It is impossible to escape the reach of artificial intelligence or, as it is more commonly known, AI. But as believers we are challenged with bigger questions than the average person. Is this something that should be included in our ministry efforts and if so, how? Our guest who has served the Lord for decades as a software engineer, joined us to put AI into perspective helping us to understand its impact for good and bad to the Church as we move forward with this new technology. Class is back in session as our favorite husband and wife team invite you to join them as they continue to teach us how to fight for our families by using the sword of God’s word to cut through the rhetoric and confusion in some of the biggest headlines of the week. Hour 2: Where We Find Our Peace

5/23/2025
Don’t be fooled, the fight for the lives of the pre-born doesn’t stop just because the political climate in Washington D.C. changes. On In The Market with Janet Parshall, a regular guest on the program addressed the ongoing battle against the abortion pill that has gone from being an outlier to one of the most widely used means of taking the life of the unborn. He warned us of the inherent danger of this option and why it may be time for this drug to have more government regulation over its distribution and use. Then we took a hard look at the recent massive power outages in Spain and Portugal where millions were without power after a celebration just weeks before in Spain where they touted 100 percent energy from renewable sources. Our climate expert addressed whether this is a neon warning sign to the United States about our own futures if we turn to complete dependance on alternative energy sources and whether or not this is the first major sign of what he calls “the green breakdown”. Is it possible that the anxiety and depression that many believers struggle with is less physical and more spiritually rooted in how our personal relationship with God operates? Our guest explained what an “insecure attachment to God” looks like and how it can have a dramatic impact on our mental wellbeing. She also explained how repairing that connection opens the door for God to share His healing story through our lives as a platform to lift up and encourage others who struggle with their own attachment relationship with Him. We boarded another radio flight to the land down under for more enlightening conversations with our favorite Scottish apologist. He addressed the effort to redefine womanhood in Scotland and whether or not believers should support corporations that support abortion among other thought-provoking topics. We gave you the opportunity to hear from a respected attorney who detailed a recent religious liberty victory out the Chicago Public School system and what the larger scale ramifications of this win means for religious liberty across the country going forward. We also spoke to that man who has turned statistics into powerful tools for ministry as he laid out the findings of this year’s American Worldview Inventory and explained why we are seeing significant faith shifts across the nation. Once again, we invite you to join us for another important discussion of the news of the week through the lens of God’s unchanging truth.
