Napoleon Bonaparte (1769–1821) was a French military leader and emperor who rose to prominence during the French Revolution and went on to dominate European politics in the early 19th century. A brilliant strategist, he led France to numerous victories, expanding its territory and reshaping European borders through the Napoleonic Wars. In 1804, he crowned himself Emperor of France, implementing sweeping reforms, including the Napoleonic Code, which modernized legal systems and influenced many nations. Despite his military genius, his ambition led to disastrous campaigns, including the failed invasion of Russia in 1812. After his defeat at Waterloo in 1815, he was exiled to Saint Helena, where he died in 1821. Napoleon remains one of history’s most influential and controversial figures, remembered for his military prowess, reforms, and lasting impact on European history. Duration - 44m.
