On the 30th anniversary of the release of an iconic 90s classic, we are back to discuss "The Shawshank Redemption" on the latest edition of our movies show/podcast "We've Seen That!" Co-hosts T.J. Rives and Jay Betsill reviewed this movie for the first time back in 2017, but their takes, insight and trivia still hold for this movie still hold. This includes: the guys giving interesting facts and trivia on the script, characters, actors, locations of the shooting of the movie and more. It's one of the all time most replayed dramas year after year on basic cable TV or now, downloading from a streaming site. There are reasons why. We're back in the July of 2024 taking a look back 30 years to a tremendous year for "Summer blockbusters" of 1994 on the newest edition of "We've Seen That! Podcast." Co-hosts T.J. Rives and "The Famous Jay" Betsill return with their usual insight, analysis and rememberances of some of the most known movies of the last generation. From Tom Hanks' epic performance in "Forrest Gump" that earned him the Academy Award for Best Actor to the ultra successful action/comedy "True Lies" with Arnold Swarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Arnold and then the dramatic, intense, action thriller "Speed" as Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock must navigate the streets of L.A. at a high rate of speed with a bomb on their bus placed by the villan played by Dennis Hopper. The boys give their thoughts on the box office sucess and what they liked and didn't like from the top movies that Summer. We get ready for the Christmas holiday with a review of an action thriller CLASSIC that we believe is definitely a "Christmas Movie." It's "We've Seen That!" with T.J. Rives and Jay Betsill talking the 1998 smash hit "Die Hard" starring Bruce Willis. The guys also have a special guest with them, as they welcome Paul Stewart from London, England, to break down the movie that saw Willis turn into an international movie star as he plays "John MacLane." MacLane is the NYPD hero ,who tries to save his wife "Holly" (Bonnie Bedalia) and her co-workers that were taken hostage by terrorist "Hans Gruber" (Alan Rickman) and his crew during the Christmas party at the "Nakatomi Plaza" in Century City. This movie has so many action packed scenes and plenty of humorous moments, as well. So sit back, take your shoes off, and make fists with your toes on the carpet as you relax and listen to the banter on one of the greatest action movies ever made. "Yippee ki yay!" "Home Alone" Starring Macaulay Culkin And Joe Pesci 12 20 23

Rives and Jay Betsil revisited “The Great White Hype” (now in it's 25th anniversary) for this episode of ‘We’ve Seen That!’ Also, the guys were joined by special guest/stand up comeidan Eric Oligny to discuss this funny film set in the world of big-time boxing. And, it's starring Samuel L. Jackson, Damon Wayans, Peter Berg, Jeff Goldblum, Jon Lovitz and Cheech Marin. The basis of the film revolves around a shady promoter (Jackson) who essentially invents a white heavyweight (Berg) contender to take on the champ (Wayans) in order to attract a huge audience both at the fight in Las Vegas as well as on pay-per-view around the world.
