PARENT DINE OUT, LEAVE 5 CHILDREN TO STARVE

1/10/2025
On a Tuesday afternoon, a driver in the 700 block of 15th street in Miami Beach sees a 6-year-old boy running across 15th street, unsupervised and in a high traffic area. Calling 911, the driver relates what he is seeing, and officers arrive on scene in a matter of minutes. Police see the child leaving an apartment complex by himself and ask the boy where he lives. The child leads the officers to his apartment to show them he isn't lost and the apartment door is answered by the oldest person in the apartment, the boys 12-year-old sister. Officers find there are a total of five children in the apartment between the ages of 6 and 12, with no adults in the home. The officers report a strong odor of urine, the children are not bathed, their clothes are dirty and there is no food in the house. The apartment doesn't have a functioning stove, no electricity, and no working toilet. . Asking the children if they are hungry, they all say 'yes' and tell the police their last meal had been around 10 p.m. the night before. The children tell the police they have been without electricity for around two months. Trying to locate their parents, the children tell the police they have no way of contacting their mother, but they know she works at a hotel in Miami. They don't know where their father works. Police officers finally contact the children's mother, Azra Nikocevic and get her to come to the police station. Officers question Nikocevic about what the children have told them about going to bed hungry and having no electricity. She tells investigators the electricity to their apartment has been cut off for about 6 weeks because they got behind on the bill. She also tells investigators she is trying to get assistance with food stamps but denies depriving her children of food. Azra Nikocevic and Sanel Canovic are arrested after leaving their five children ages six to 12 unattended in a filthy apartment with no food, no electricity, and no working toilet. The mother gave a statement to police and denies depriving her children of food while the children's father refused to speak to police without an attorney. Both are charged with five felony child neglect charges, and the children were taken into protective custody while authorities investigate. DIDDY JELLY? EXPLODES WHEN ASSASSIN SUSPECT LUIGI MANGIONE ARRIVES

1/8/2025
Multiple documentaries released purporting to tell the truth about Sean "Diddy" Combs, but what will be revealed? In the meantime, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs may be feeling forgotten behind bars. The mogul’s holidays have been described as ‘bleak’, with equally dismal holiday meals to match, including a steak and cheese sub served on a hotdog bun. Combs missed his twins’ 18th birthday, which they marked with a casual yacht trip to St. Barts, and now Combs’ isn’t even the most high-profile inmate at the MDC. Combs reportedly reeling over the support inmates show CEO-killer Luigi Mangione, while he’s been shunned over federal sex-trafficking allegations. Inmates at the MDC are reportedly hailing Luigi Mangione as a hero. Mangione remains in the SHU or Special Housing Unit, separated from gen pop for the time being. Mangione will eventually move to the same floor as Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who’s reportedly jealous of the attention the accused killer is receiving. Despite their husband and wife legal counsel, sources do not believe Combs and Mangione will interact as “they have really nothing in common.” Joining Nancy Grace today: www.carynstark.comwww.coldcasefoundation.org/chris-mcdonoughnewdaylightfoundation.comSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Body Bags with Joseph Scott Morgan: The New Jersey Mansion Murders - Part 2

1/5/2025
In part two of the New Jersey Mansion Murders, Joseph Scott Morgan explains how investigators determined the fire in the mansion is actually arson to coverup the brutal murders of Keith and his family. The fire at Paul Caneiro's home is quickly determined to be arson and Paul Caneiro is arrested the day after the fire. Paul Caneiro's wife and adult daughters think he is a hero for waking them up and getting them out of the house safely and vow to testify on his behalf. A few days after Paul Caneiro is charged with setting fire to his own home, he is charged with the murder of his brother and Keith Caneiro's family. Prosecutors say Paul Caneiro was motivated by greed. Three days before the killings, Keith Caneiro told his father-in-law, Vlassis Karidis, that Paul had stolen $90,000 from the children's college funds, and that he was planning to cut off the $225,000 salary that Paul drew from a family business. Autopsies show that Keith, Jennifer, and Jesse Caneiro all died instantly, but Sophia lived for 9 hours and died from smoke inhalation. This has led Sophia Caneiro's maternal grandfather, Vlassis Karidis, to file a wrongful death lawsuit against Paul Caneiro. Because Sophia survived her parents, she inherited their estates and died intestate, passing the estates to her grandparents, and Karidis has standing to bring the claim. Killer Clown Guns Down Young Mom Answering Door: Why is The Suspect Now Walking Free?

1/4/2025
Marlene Warren opens her front door to flowers and balloons. No one expects the gunshots that follows. Now, the woman who investigators say dressed as that clown, killing her lover's wife, is out of jail. Prosecutors say that Sheila Keen-Warren, knocked on Marlene Warren’s door dressed as a clown, holding flowers and balloons, and shot Warren in the face. Marlene Warren's husband was Shelia Keen's lover. In fact, Keen later marries the used car dealer and moves with him to Virginia During the investigation, police found red wig fibers and DNA in the getaway car, a white Chrysler LeBaron. It has been reported stolen for Michael Warren’s used car lot a month earlier. Employees at a Publix supermarket — the only store in the area that sold the “You’re the Greatest” balloon the killer gave to Marlene Warren — said a person matching Keen-Warren’s description bought such a balloon from him. And employees at a store that sold clown costumes tentatively identified Keen-Warren as the woman who bought a clown outfit and a wig from their store. it was years before an arrest was made. Now Assistant State Attorney Reid Scott tells a judge that Keen-Warren, 59, pleaded guilty “because she is guilty,” but her attorney, Greg Rosenfeld, disputed that after the sentencing hearing, which was squeezed in during a lunch break of another murder trial. Rosenfeld said plenty of innocent people plead guilty. Circuit Judge Scott Suskauer accepted Sheila Keen-Warren’s plea in exchange for a 12 year prison sentence — with credit for the five and a half years she’s been jailed since her 2017 arrest. Keen-Warren has maintained her innocence even after her plea, Joining Nancy Grace today: Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
