Demoulas and his three sisters were in a battle with their cousin for control of the company, in which customer boycotts and employee walkouts ensued. Now, this week CEO Arthur T Demoulas, two of his children and three other Market Basket executives were suspended and put on paid leave. The Market Basket board of directors said Arthur is being investigated by an independent law firm "for planning a work stoppage in retaliation for requests from the board for basic collaboration and oversight."
