In order for one to adopt noble character they must learn the blessed divine attributes and names of Allah, the Exalted, so that they can adopt each attribute into their character according to their status. For example, Allah, the Exalted, is All Forgiving according to His infinite status and adopting this attribute by forgiving others is something which has been encouraged in Islam. Chapter 24 An Nur, verse 22:
“…and let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.”

In fact, this is the meaning of the Hadith found in Sahih Bukhari, number 2736, which advises that Allah, the Exalted, has ninety-nine names and whoever memorises them will enter Paradise.
