A shut-out victory for Sam Ersson! Tyson Foerster's 2nd-period goal and Joel Farabee's empty-netter sealed the deal for the Orange and Black, as they escape from Boston with a 2-0 victory, their first regulation win in Boston since 2011.

Why are John Tortorella’s Flyers off to a 2-6-1 start?
10/28/2024
The goaltending has been bad. The offense has been inconsistent, at best. The defense has been banged up. The Philadelphia Flyers seem to be struggling in all phases of the game to start the 2024-25 season, posting the league’s 2nd worst points-percentage and 2nd worst goal-differential in the NHL.
Charlie & Bill break down what has gone right for the Orange & Black (Matvei Michkov!) and everything else that has gone wrong in the first few weeks of the season.

PHLY Flyers Postgame: Philly flat in Aleksei Kolosov’s NHL debut
10/27/2024
On Sunday, the Philadelphia Flyers were right back to looking like the listless team they’ve been for a majority of the season, after what was a promising performance on Saturday.
Aleksei Kolosov was up and down in his debut, but it was a completely non-existent forecheck or any offensive push that doomed Philly against the Montreal Canadiens.
Bill, Steve and Charlie break down the game, and what might be next for Kolosov and Emil Andrae.

PHLY Flyers Postgame: Sean Couturier ends losing streak, goal drought with hat trick
10/26/2024
Sean Couturier picked up his 500th point and first goal since last February in style, and went on to score 3 and combine with linemates Matvei Michkov and Travis Konecny for 12 points in a 7-5 Flyers win, their first at home and first in regulation of the season.
Bill, JP & Charlie break down the action and look ahead to tomorrow’s game as well.

PHLY Flyers Postgame: Owen Tippett's goal, Michkov-led comeback falls short versus Capitals
10/23/2024
The Flyers were close to pulling off an epic early season comeback, turning a 4-0 blowout into a 4-3 game, but some late decisions by the Orange and black killed them after a stellar effort in the second half of the game.

A season that began with a buzz thanks to the addition of Matvei Michkov and the anticipation of young players like Tyson Foerster, Bobby Brink and Jamie Drysdale stepping up has not gone according to plan thus far.
Philadelphia’s 5v5 offense continues to struggle, and now the power play is hurting after allowing a pair of short-handed goals to the Washington Capitals in defeat on Tuesday night.

PHLY Flyers Postgame: John Tortorella’s culture a no-show in home opener
10/19/2024
The Flyers are finally back in Philadelphia and maybe they left their jam out west, because Saturday’s home opener was a failure.
Sam Ersson did what he could but the defensive zone coverage and offensive zone creation looked a lot like the team that lost 12 of 17 to end the 2023-24 season.
Bill & JP break down the loss, and what’s next for the 1-3-1 Flyers.

PHLY Flyers Postgame: Flyers postgame: Horrendous 2nd period dooms Ivan Fedotov vs Kraken
10/18/2024
Well, at least it didn’t go to overtime.
The Flyers certainly seemed eager to get back to Philadelphia, and not all that interested in challenging the Seattle Kraken to a competitive hockey game after the first 20 minutes.
Scott Laughton scored a pair in the first, and the Flyers lead 2-1. Then Fedotov imploded and Philly’s defense wasn’t much better as Seattle scored 4 unanswered in the middle frame to effectively end the game before the final frame.
Bill, Steve and Charlie break down a disappointing end to the road trip.
