The Lions have started to whittle down their roster today and there was one surprising early cut: Dan Skipper. The veteran Tackle released by the team today. Now there is a chance that this is just roster gymnastics and he will be back. Skipper had been Tackle 3 on this team the last few years. Detroit Lions fell to the Houston Texans in the final NFL Preseason game before the regular season begins. Detroit Lions will take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 1 of the NFL season. Morice Norris Jr was taken off in an ambulance and players from the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons shared a moment of solidarity as the two teams formed a circle of prayer on the field. It was a scary scene at the dome in Atlanta tonight. Lions win the game but lose Morice Norris who was hospitalized after hitting his head on the turf trying to make a tackle in the 4th quarter. The Lions and Falcons decided to end the football game right there after Norris was taken to the hospital. Dan Campbell had good news after the game saying Mo was responsive and breathing.
