Jolene MacFadden
This audiobook is narrated by a digital voice.
Insiders Guide to Campground Hosting in Florida Parks is a resource guide for all those who are full-time or even part-time RVing in the state of Florida. There are hundreds of different public land areas and non-profit organizations that would be very happy to get hard-working and dependable volunteers to camp inside their parks, forests, etc, and work part-time as a volunteer. The vast majority of these types of assignments are temporary (between 2 to 4 months at a time) but a rare few can lead into a permanent placement. Most, if not all, require that the person(s) volunteering have a self-contained recreational vehicle of some kind and the ability to buy your own food and pay your own bills. Very few of our assignments in Florida pay wages of any kind. There are a few exceptions to this rule.
Our great public land areas are always needing assistance with keeping the facilities maintained, helping with the public guests, keeping all the facilities and outside areas cleaned and updated as much as possible. And, to assist in special projects with the personnel such as dressing up and doing historical presentations, conducting learning sessions with kids, counting wildlife, and removing invasive species.
Our guide has information on all the volunteer places within the state that exchanges work for campsites. As well as general information on the duties required, time to be spent, and other amenities they may provide for their volunteers. These places are also some of the most beautiful in our area. Come on down and volunteer. They need the help ALL YEAR ROUND.
