Originally from the Bronx, singer-songwriter Alynda Lee Segarra grew up on riot grrrl shows on the Lower East Side of Manhattan before riding the rails around the country at 17. Eventually, she settled in New Orleans, and with her banjo and her powerful voice formed the folk collective Hurray For The Riff Raff.
