Self Discovery Through Stripping The Book Casey Dancer From Kristin Casey
4/24/2025
The follow-up to Kristin Casey's widely acclaimed memoir Rock Monster: My Life with Joe WalshCasey Dancer is the true story of a thirty-nine-year-old part-time stripper, full-time real estate agent, and struggling writer navigating the chaos of love and ambition. Fresh from a tumultuous breakup and newly sober, Kristin finds herself struggling to re-enter the dating scene. When she falls for Lalo, a charming but troubled ex-coke dealer, their steamy affair leads to deep emotional conflict, testing her boundaries and stirring memories of past relationships. Through the highs of passion, the lows of financial strain, and the harsh realities of erotic labor, Kristin fights to reclaim her sense of self. Bold, raw, and unapologetically honest, Casey Dancer is a story of resilience, vulnerability, and self-discovery.
"In Casey Dancer, Kristin Casey invites readers into an unfiltered exploration of her journey through the complexities of sex, dating, and intimacy, transcending the superficial allure of romantic entanglements to uncover the raw truths that lie beneath. This candid memoir serves as a fearless examination of the often-unspoken realities of modern relationships, revealing not only the euphoric highs of passionate encounters but also the deep vulnerabilities that arise when one dares to be truly seen by another. With an honesty that is both refreshing and disarming, Kristin confronts her own choices and experiences with genuine curiosity, challenging societal norms and expectations along the way. Throughout the memoir, she thoughtfully references her first book, Rock Monster, which chronicled her whirlwind relationship with rock legend Joe Walsh. These poignant callbacks serve as effective reminders of where she's been and how those experiences have shaped her understanding of love and self. Through her journeys, both physical and emotional, Kristin pushes boundaries in ways that are not only refreshing but also deeply relatable. She invites readers to join her on a path of self-acceptance, exploring the intersections of sexuality, identity, and the relentless passage of time. Casey Dancer dares to ask the difficult questions, embracing the messy, beautiful, and sometimes painful realities of being human. It is a celebration of resilience, a testament to the strength found in vulnerability, and an invitation for readers to embark on their own journeys of self-discovery."

The Daily Mess Why Is It So Difficult To Say No Plus Why Are Teens Destroying Theaters
4/23/2025
I’m always asking questions. The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as… Why is telling someone no so difficult? Plus…why are teens destroying movie theaters? I’m Arroe… I am a daily writer. A silent wolf. I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate. I call it The Daily Mess. A chronological walk through an everyday world. Yes, it’s my morning writing. As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later. When a subject arrives, I dig in. It’s still keeping a journal! The Sruggle Between Art And Labor Matthew Specktor's The Golden Hour
4/23/2025
A personal and cultural exploration of the struggles between art and business at the heart of modern Hollywood, through the eyes of the talent that shaped it Matthew Specktor grew up in the film industry: the son of legendary CAA superagent Fred Specktor, his childhood was one where Beau Bridges came over for dinner, Martin Sheen's daughter was his close friend, and Marlon Brando left long messages on the family answering machine. He would eventually spend time working in Hollywood himself, first as a reluctant studio executive and later as a screenwriter. Now, with The Golden Hour, Specktor blends memoir, cultural criticism, and narrative history to tell the story of the modern motion picture industry-illuminating the conflict between art and business that has played out over the last seventy-five years in Hollywood. Braiding his own story with that of his father, mother (a talented screenwriter whose career was cut short), and figures ranging from Jack Nicholson to CAA's Michael Ovitz, Specktor reveals how Hollywood became a laboratory for the eternal struggle between art, labor, and capital. Beginning with the rise of Music Corporation of America in the 1950s, The Golden Hour lays out a series of clashes between fathers and sons, talent agents and studio heads, artists, activists, unions, and corporations. With vivid prose and immersive scenes, Specktor shows how Hollywood grew from the epicenter of American cultural life to a full-fledged multinational concern-and what this shift has meant for the nation's place in the world. At once a book about the movie business and an intimate family drama, The Golden Hour is a sweeping portrait of the American Century.

Fight Inside The Wildest Battle For The White House From Polical Correspondent Amie Parnes
4/21/2025
It was the election America dreaded, a rematch between the two oldest men to serve as president. But somewhere along the way, the 2024 battle for the White House became the most jaw-dropping, heart-pounding, head-turning contest in American history. The ride was so wild that it forced a sitting president to drop his re-election bid, a once and future president to survive felony convictions and a would-be assassin's bullet, and a vice president, unexpectedly thrust into the arena, to mount an unprecedented 107-day campaign to lead the free world. FIGHT is the backstage story of bloodsport politics in its rawest form-the clawing, backstabbing, and rabble-rousing that drove Donald Trump into the White House and Democrats into the wilderness. At every turn, the combatants went for the jugular, whether they were facing down rivals in the other party or their own. Bestselling authors Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes give readers their first graphic view of the characters, their motivations, and their innermost thoughts as they battled to claim the ultimate prize and define a political era. Based on real-time interviews with more than 150 insiders-from the Trump, Harris, and Biden inner circles, as well as party leaders and operatives- FIGHT delivers the vivid and stunning tale of an election unlike any other. In the end, Trump overcame voters' concerns about his personal flaws by tapping into a deep vein of dissatisfaction with the direction of the country. At the same time, Democrats struggled to connect with an electorate that felt gaslit by Biden's insistence that he had delivered economic prosperity-and his pledge to be a "bridge" president. He tore his party asunder, leaving destroyed personal relationships in his wake, as he clung to power. And when he gave it up, he kneecapped Harris by demanding unprecedented loyalty from her. As Allen and Parnes have done in the #1 New York Times bestseller Shattered and Lucky, they provide readers with a skeleton key to the rooms where it all happened, revealing a story more shocking than previously reported

What She Saw Inside The Kremlin My Russia From Journalist Jill Dougherty
4/20/2025
My Russia reveals CNN's Jill Dougherty's transformative journey from a Cold War-era obsession with Russia to witnessing firsthand the rise of Vladimir Putin and the unraveling of a nation she grew to love. At the height of the Cold War, as a high school freshman, CNN's Jill Dougherty developed an obsession with Russia. Over the next half-century, she studied in Leningrad, traveled across the Soviet Union, lived in Moscow, and reported on the presidencies of Mikhail Gorbachev, Boris Yeltsin, and Vladimir Putin. Jill's life, and Putin's, intersected. They studied at the same Russian university; Jill was named CNN Moscow Bureau Chief just as Putin began his rise to power. She knew he was a former KGB officer, but she also believed he was an economic reformer. As Putin tightened his grip on the media, she changed her mind. In 2022, reporting from Moscow as Russian tanks rolled into Ukraine, she was convinced the leader with whom she once had sympathized was a tyrant threatening to destroy a country she had come to love. My Russia charts Russia's evolution through the eyes of an American with rare insight into Russia, its people, and its leaders.
