Albert Mohler: Will Western Civilization Survive?

3/31/2025
This is Albert Mohler for Townhall.com. Will western civilization survive? Well, not if we refuse to deport our sworn enemies. For several decades now, the academic left has seen Western Civilization as the oppressive past that must give way to the utopian future. The United States and Israel are painted at the center of the left’s bullseye. All this burst onto the headlines when Hamas carried out its murderous terror attack upon Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. This brings us to Mahmoud Khalil, who at the time of the demonstrations was a graduate student and leader of the pro-Palestinian protests. The Trump administration moved to deport Khalil on the basis of his actions. Now: He’s become a test case for whether or not America has the courage to defend itself and our own values. Western Civilization has enemies, and plenty of them are found on our elite college campuses. Our civilization will either defend itself or surrender. Any civilization that encourages its enemies to populate its elite institutions is just announcing its surrender and it will deserve its defeat. I’m Albert Mohler. Chris Stigall: Watch Wisconsin

3/26/2025
The fast-approaching Wisconsin Supreme Court election isn't just a local squabble, it really is a national tipping point. On April 1st, Wisconsin will choose between Common Sense Judicial Review with Brad Shimmel or Radical Leftism with Susan Crawford. Why is this matter? Well, it shapes America's future, A Crawford win. Let's liberals redraw Congressional maps costing Republicans to house seats and guts. Their majority. Democrats know their power now comes from radical judges, not elected politicians. This race means everything to Democrats lose this, and believe me, they'll do all they can to kill Trump's agenda, including his efforts to deport violent illegals, stopping fraud, tax cuts, and Doge. We've seen activist courts Ram through gerrymandering and Dropbox scams, ex posts tell the story. Shimmel is the firewall, judicial sanity, voter id. America first. Wisconsin decides America's fate. Early voting is underway now Wisconsinites vote today, like our country depends on it because it does. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Hewitt: Trump Pushing Back on Rogue Judges

3/25/2025
Many, many federal district court judges are issuing some very imprudent and some obviously politicized decisions to block many of the early actions by President Trump and his team on many different fronts. The judges involved say they don’t care about the election but they’re just applying the law and the constitution, but it sure does feel to a lot of us like "the Resistance is donned Robes." Good number of these cases will end up tested and settled by the Supreme Court—a court that Donald Trump built in part during his first term. The highest court is always a sort of Constitutional trampoline where legal theories are jump up and down over the decades, propelled by events and presidents. Now President Trump is jumping on that trampoline—just as FDR for example, did early in his presidency—to see how high presidential power can be made to go. But I am hopeful that at least some of these test cases will restore the appropriate constitutional order and I am not worried at all that the constitution will endure.
