Now believe it or not, I am actually truly compassionate. I'm in some ways with children and dogs and a lot of things. I'm just an old softy. And with somebody that might actually be in need, I genuinely feel bad whenever I see something on the side of the road or something occurring out there that I'm just wondering how is this possible in today's world that this happens? I actually know the answer to that but, so I understand why kind hearted people feel bad when some illegal immigrants are swept up by ICE and deported. Most of the illegal immigrants that will get swept up did not come here to hurt anybody. Many are not actually bad people. They don't run rough shot over the system. And before Biden opened the flood flood gates, the majority of them weren't coming here to, you know, just get what they could on welfare fraud, all this other stuff. They weren't looking to grab free room and board. Most leftists don't really understand the fiscal and societal burden from unlimited immigration, illegal or otherwise, and they can easily focus on the plight of each illegal alien one by one without seeing the big picture. But here's the problem, you know, when you can't support sweeping up rapists and murderers and gang members, then there's something wrong with you. Whatever claims you make to being empathetic to people in trouble are belied by the fact that you're fighting for the bad guys and not the victims. Like Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell who was fuming after ICE carried out deportation raids that resulted in the arrest of gangsters and rapists and murderers. On the Daily Wire, they had an exclusive Dem's rage over Nashville ice raids that targeted rapists and gang murders. Time and again, we're confronted by the fact that the leftists are pro criminal. They're not pro compassion though. Criminal justice reform has led to more crime and it's led to a lower quality of life and it's led to thousands of extra murders that would never have happened but for lax enforcement of law. Since Trump has come into power, the entire apparatus of the Democrat Party is mobilized to stop the deportation of gang members and criminals. Mayors and judges and some law enforcement officers have denounced capturing and deporting sex offenders. In Nashville, the federal deportation raids in Tennessee that have garnered outrage from local Democrats resulted in the capture of rapists, drug dealers, and gang members according to the Department of Homeland Security dossier obtained by The Daily Wire. This coming from The Daily Wire. Nashville's Democrat mayor Freddie O'Connell said he was very frustrated to see immigration enforcement in the city stating, we did not request this approach to safety. We do not support it.' So he, in response, signed an executive order mandating that communications from Immigration and Customs Enforcement be directed to his office immediately. His outrage comes with little public information known about the scale and the of the raid, but Daily Wire has learned that nearly 200 illegal aliens were captured during the week long raids including rapists, drug dealers, and gang members. Hey, well, the kind of guys we want to see go. They carried this out in conjunction with local and federal law enforcement partners that began on May 3 and resulted in the arrest of 196 illegal aliens. Of those arrested, 95 had prior criminal, convictions or pending criminal charges. Another 31 had reentered the country after being previously removed from The United States, which is a felony offense. And, the operation resulted in getting gang members, sex offenders, and other violent criminals off Nashville streets, said Tricia McLaughlin, Department of Homeland Security assistant secretary for public affairs. President Trump and secretary Noem will continue to stand with victims and the brave ICE agents who are on the front lines making America safe again. But as you know, we now live in a country where the judges are quite lite ...

Well, it is you know, when you look at things on the merits, Trump's acceptance of a few actually, four dozen South African white farmers as refugees meets the legal requirement for acceptance as a refugee. It's also likely that this is a guilty pleasure for him because he enjoys the screaming from the left and what what he's doing is what he does best. He's forcing them to live by their by the rules that they set for themselves on refugees. Every refugee is welcome, which means white ones too. They never said they they couldn't come. Now the fact that Trump did take these farmers in when other presidents just ignored them and the South African government is clearly enraged raises a second interesting possibility that somebody's sacred cow is getting gored and Trump is the one goring it. Because aren't refugees either from war zones like Ukraine or fourth world hell holes like Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Haiti, Cuba, Somalia, Yemen, Burma, North Korea, Syria, those nasty pariah states. But taking in a refugee from South Africa, he's implicitly announcing that South Africa is in Yemen's or Somalia's league. A dump, a hellscape. No one would wanna go there who didn't have to, a place with travel warnings and sorry tourist stories, which, of course, goes against the South African vision of themselves as a rising superpower on the global stage, a nation with clout and wealth and influence. Over the last several years, South Africa has, promoted themselves this way particularly with its loud noisy campaign to make the brick the bricks. They wanted it to be they wanted to enter into that club. But according to Google AI, we get this, South Africa as the newest member of BRICS is often referred to as a rising star within the group. BRICS, an acronym for Brazil, Russia, India, China, And South Africa, is a block of emerging economies that seeks to promote economic cooperation and reform the global financial system. South Africa's inclusion in BRICS signifies its growing global global influence and its potential to play a key role in shaping the future of the international system. And then it goes on to give some examples why South Africa is considered a rising star. Like, South Africa's economy, despite facing challenges, were one of the largest in Africa and contributes significantly to the BRICS bloc's overall economic growth. South Africa's membership in BRICS allows it to have a stronger voice in international forums and negotiations, giving it more leverage in shaping global policies and institutions. South Africa's position as institutions. South Africa's position as a leader in the African continent makes it a valuable partner for BRICS in promoting cooperation and development in the region. Organizations like the South African BRICS Youth Association actively engage youth in BRICS initiatives, fostering collaboration and promoting the collective potential of BRICS youth. So, you know, blah blah blah. In reality, the main thing they're producing right now is refugees, same as someplace like Syria, Third world hellhole. And like such countries, they have only the crummiest of allies. Their partners of choice includes Russia, China, and Iran, and and in particular as Russian's pawn. From the GIS report online, some in the international community have expressed mixed reactions to South Africa's position within BRICS. Concerns are rife about bilateral relations they built with authoritarian BRICS members like Russia, China, and now Iran. Well, here we go. And it's not getting a lot of attention for some reason. The the whole, reconciliation thing, that's not getting the negotiation or excuse me, the attention the negotiations should be getting. This is not just about continuing the Trump era tax cuts, but and and that is a huge part of it. There's a whole bunch of stuff in it. You got a debt ceiling and spending changes and new tax cuts for overtime and Social Security. This is a unique opportunity where certain funding and spending provisions could get past the 60 vote filibuster in the Senate, so this is probably the only real legislative achievement Donald Trump's going to have this year. But we are going to have to thread a needle with this and it all comes down to the final bill, whatever the final bill looks like. Can everybody swallow it? On the plus side, it it's everybody's benefit to get this passed, but it's gonna be painful because everybody out there wants to have a slice of the pie, a slice of their pie going into this pie. They they they want something that, you know, a piece of them. They want a piece of them to be in the pie. Piece of what they want. They wanna see that. And if they don't, they're gonna have trouble voting for it because this is never about what's good for you. It's about what's good for them. Now a lot of dumb people right now, and I mean this in the nicest way, they they seem to have forgotten that there hasn't been a lot of legislation passed because of the whole filibuster thing. Now the filibuster will be dead the second the Democrats can kill it. And it's the only thing driving the desperate negotiations to get this done. And the new deadline for this is, July 4. And we need to have it as soon as we can because then the economy can jump. And all we have to depend on is that the, the Republicans don't blow it. Right? If only the Republicans don't blow it. But they're Republicans so of course they can blow it. It doesn't have to go this way, though. Johnson has a a wafer thin margin, and he has he done a fairly decent job of getting the, preliminary votes through. A lot of people said it wouldn't happen, but it did happen. John Thune got the initial votes through the Senate. That's also close to a miracle. This bodes well but there's a lot of other boding that we're gonna have to look at. Then the unspoken factor, and this is the Trump factor, you know when he picks up the phone people listen, he's sort of like EF Hutton And at some point, he's gonna have to let his fingers do the walking. At some point, he's gonna have to start dialing. He's trying to stand back and figure out what the house the both houses need to do. Some of his contributions have not been very helpful in all honesty. His idea of tolerating a small marginal rate increase for very high earners is a terrible one. Remember George h w Bush. Read his lips and if that doesn't work, read history. And, you know, there are a lot of traditional Republican positions we need to revisit. Not raising taxes is not one of those. And, of course, because they're Republicans, they have all kinds of clicks going on there, all kinds of blocks. The house is schizophrenic because some members don't wanna cut too deeply and others don't wanna cut anything at all. And the senate seems reluctant to cut as much as the house is inclined to. Trump's strategy seems to be that he's gonna let both sides get as far as they can and then he's gonna get involved in it because you do want to knock heads at the end of the negotiation not at the beginning. Got to let the negotiation happen. But everybody in this has a dog in this fight. Everybody has something they want and if nothing passes passes, excuse me, tax cuts go away and everybody's gonna get slammed. The Trump one point o tax cuts were aimed at the kind of people who voted for Donald Trump. They put small businesses on par with big corporations and taxing their income. For a long time, the big big boys had an edge. ...

You know, it's no it's it's two a Tuesday, and it's no secret that I think everybody out there should know how to shoot. And there's a variety of different things out there to help you do that. Now and with some of the things you've heard about here, these are sort of more of a more of a specialist specialty discipline. But this next thing, this is just plain Jane. You you you could go down to Dewey's and buy everything you need to compete with this. And joining us now is, Martha Goodfellow. She's here to talk to us about the Glock match. Now is this a first of all, thanks for joining me today. Thank you, Bill. I appreciate the opportunity to talk about the Glock match and let people know what's happening. Now is this a Glock Shooting Sports Federation, event? Actually, it is the annual Glock Sports Shooting Match held at Belt and Gun Club. Okay. And they they hold about 60 or 66 around the nation. Right. So what what what is the criteria to be able to shoot in there? I mean, is there different classes for the calibers? Is there different classes for the size of guns? How does this break down? Because this would be the one I would compete in, but I've got just about all the sizes. There are multiple different types of Glocks as we all know. So it just depends on what somebody already has. Right. I like the Glock nineteen. That's my favorite. My husband likes the Glock forty five. So there's just if it's a Glock pistol, there's a division you can shoot it in. Right. So with the 19 and the 45 be in the same division since they're roughly about the same gun except for grip design? Correct. Yeah. That's correct. The, full sized pistols, like your nineteen and forty five, the 17, full size ones compete against each other. Your pocket locks, like the forty two and forty three, would compete in a compact division. Right. And they have a rimfire, which is the 22 ammo, and that's strictly a rimfire division. So, how is Glock as big a gun in competitive world as it is in self defense world and law enforcement world? Glock is known to be very dependable, reliable, and for self defense, you want it for that. As far as competing, there are so many different types of guns you can get to compete with. I wouldn't even venture to guess who's favorites. I'm a Glock owner, and I really like what I have. Right. I I like that their trigger is what the safety is built. I mean, I don't have to worry about releasing a safety trigger, a safety release. Yeah. So that's my personal preference. See, now here here's a question for you. I've got three Glocks right now with Terran Tactical Innovations. And when they come back, they're not exactly gonna be Glocks. Is there a class for that? Okay. It has to be a stock Glock. Oh, okay. Talking about a gun that has all their types of parts in it. They, depending on what you've added to it, you might be able to enter it in the unlimited. That's something so technically you'd have to look it up in the rules or ask the Glock people. The only thing two of them have Timney triggers and other than that, it's just been some, you know, it'll be some grip work, it'll be some, they'll lighten the slide a little bit and possibly use a different Glock spring in it, but most of the parts going into it are Glock except for the finish. Right. You know, again, that would be something I would direct to the Glock people. I know there's certain things like you can add different sites. I like I added a fiber optic on one one of mine to try it out. I've used the standard iron sights that come on it. If you put something like an MOS on it, that puts you into the MOS division. Right. And then on your magazines, they allow you to add, like, a pure script that has a pinky extension. Yeah. Yeah. Right. So that, you know, when you're shooting seven rounds and your magazine only holds six, you can get the seventh round for your compact pistols. Yep. Yep. Yep. Now, Glock is Glock is such a ubiquitous pistol on the scene ...

You know, I don't know. I I guess it's probably debatable that now that we have a pope from Chicago, he might be a very important American and he might have there's some that think he's displaced Trump as the most important American. I don't believe that. But there's one thing that all of the pot stirrers like French, David French at the New York Times and MAGA Americans, they might agree on. Deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller is, making himself a very important voice of the Trump administration and he's a mainstream media nemesis. But see, it's not what he has done in his White House role that might rock the three branches of the United States government as we know them. It's not the verbal jujitsu that he employs and throws people all over the room with. You know, that might produce a kind of explosive reverberation that could have the potential of igniting the kind of inter branch constitutional crisis rarely seen since the one that eventually sparked that fateful shot on Fort Sumter. There's something called American First Legal, the nonprofit Publix Law Foundation co founded by Stephen Miller in 2021 with a mission of turning the legal tables on the radical activist left. And it wants to wage a forceful defense of our rights, our country, and our cherished American way of life and has just filled a bombshell lawsuit against chief justice John g Roberts junior. In his capacity as presiding officer of the Judicial Conference of the United States and Robert j Conrad, director of administrative of the Administrative Office of the US Courts. AFL wants the information from the Judicial Conference and the US Courts Administrative Office, John Roberts and Robert Conrad are accused of scoffing at the assertion by its Freedom of Information Act request that AFL is entitled to it. They call this an unconstitutional shadow agency and the administrative arm both overseen by chief justice Roberts as rogue executive agencies that have collaborated with far left lawmakers to wage lawfare against conservative supreme court justices. It also reports that lawsuit not only takes aim at the judicial branch branch and, Roberts, but also targets a legislative branch of Democrat senator Sheldon White house and representative Hank Johnson. It accuses them of a concerted effort together with the judicial Conference and the mainstream media to discredit Supreme Court justices Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh. The FOIA request for correspondence between these two lawmakers and the Judicial Conference is the key element of the lawsuit, and the conference feels itself immune from FOIA. AFL means the conference is bound by FOIA when like it this alleged instance, it exercises executive functions. So this would likely be a case that makes its way to the Supreme Court and it can easily be anticipated that Federal District Court of District Columbia will conclude and that the DC Circuit Court of Appeal will concur that the judicial branch has immunity under foil. But there's one part they haven't figured out yet and, that's how the Supreme Court and Roberts will respond when AFL brings their appeal. And this challenges not only the judicial branch's independence but also Roberts' professional integrity. And if they deny the appeal, this leaves the chief justice, the court and the judicial branch subject to the appearance of impropriety and of having something to cite. This is what we would refer to as bad optics. And if they take up the case, this means Roberts has to recuse himself from it. Hearing the case risks the exposure of some very unfavorable details potentially implicating Roberts, the Judicial Conference and Democrats, White House and Johnson. Any ruling by a reduced court that agrees with lower courts will risk the same unfavorable impressions by the public and unlikely ruling that favors AFL will be no less damaging to the Democrats and judicial branch leadership. This is one of these things where you're getting out there and you you ...

There's something called American First Legal, the nonprofit Publix Law Foundation cofounded by Stephen Miller in 2021 with a mission of turning the legal tables on the radical activist left. It also reports that lawsuit not only takes aim at the judicial branch branch and g, Roberts, but also targets a legislative branch of Democrat senator Sheldon White house and representative Hank Johnson. It accuses them of a concerted effort together with the judicial conference and the main stream media to discredit Supreme Court Justices Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh. The FOIA request for correspondence between these two lawmakers and the Judicial Conference is the key element of the lawsuit, and the conference feels itself immune from FOIA. AFL means the conference is bound by FOIA when like it this alleged instance, it exercises executive functions. So this would likely be a case that makes its way to the Supreme Court and it can easily be anticipated that Federal District Court of District Columbia will conclude and that the DC Circuit Court of Appeal will concur that the judicial branch has immunity under FOIA. But there's one part they haven't figured out yet and, that's how the Supreme Court and Roberts will respond when AFL brings their appeal And this challenges not only the judicial branch's independence but also Roberts' professional integrity. And if they deny the appeal, this leaves the chief justice, the court, and the judicial branch subject to the appearance of impropriety and of having something to cite. This is what we would refer to as bad optics. And if they take up the case, this means Roberts has to recuse himself from it. Hearing the case risks the exposure of some very unfavorable details potentially implicating Roberts, the Judicial Conference, and Democrats, White House, and Johnson. Any ruling by a reduced court that agrees with the lower courts will risk the same unfavorable impressions by the public. And unlikely ruling that favors AFL will be no less damaging to the Democrats and judicial branch leadership. This is one of these things where you're getting out there and you ...

All the buttons are pushed. That's always nice when I have all the buttons pushed. It's very complicated process. Two a Tuesday, of course, and go ahead and mute that if you would please, sir. But we're gonna start with this simply because, you're not seeing a lot of, what's happening with the Trump administration, a lot of the good stuff. What you're hearing is the bad stuff, like the tariffs are dangerous. Not coming from the self proclaimed intellectuals and the self proclaimed economists. It's almost like a drum solo. I expect it from the left. If you said puppies were cute, everybody would say that but he hates cats. But we're also hearing it from supposed free market libertarians and others on the right who can't see past their arrogance and or their disdain for Trump to figure out what our president is trying to accomplish. It's, you know, it's it's not hard to find footage of a much younger Trump on Oprah in 1988 talking about how we were getting ripped off by other countries. So at least for thirty five years or thirty seven years, excuse me, this has been going on, but it's a surprise is when we elect someone on a campaign promise and they actually do what they said they were gonna do. And, the weak need Republican should take note of this. You know, write it down, put it put it somewhere where you can find it. Now, the other thing that they they they they say they want is a free market, but that means that both sides have to agree to the terms. So how do we attain the free market utopia that they claim to seek? Do we go to China and and just ask them, would you please, pretty please with sugar on top, reduce our tariffs to zero? Well, Trump doesn't do that. Trump drops anvils on them. And despite everything you heard and everything you saw and everything that was coming at you and it was it was gonna be pan delirium, they caved. And they came to the table because they were forced to come to the table, not because they wanted to come to the table. And, you know, I I've been telling everybody out here, you know, we're like their biggest market for their for the stuff they build and, yeah, there are secondary markets out there that buy plenty of it, but it's nothing like us. What's astounding to me is that this guy wrote a book about making deals. And and I guess nobody was, nobody was paying attention to the fact that maybe he actually knew what he was talking about. Now, as of now, the equity markets have surged past their lows following Liberation Day, which was tariff day. The dollar is on the move surging 1% after the announcement with China. New business deals are being struck almost daily. Gas is down. I with, with some coupons, you know, with with the card, I actually bought, gas for $2.25 the other day. Inflation is down. We all knew that once the Inflation is down. We all knew that once the government stopped ordering the mass slaughter of chickens, the egg prices were returned to normal and this is just the hundred are we on day 10 yet? I not sure. Maybe hundred thirteen. So for the naysayers, no one who believes in this president expects a smooth ride. When you're out there and you're trying to smelt gold, there's gonna be some heat. We have generations of horrible policy that has to be dismantled and that's not gonna happen without a few jabs and pains. The entrenched administrative state is not gonna roll over and give up. The leeches and the other parasites aren't going to change their diet. For those of you that are out there, and I mean grassroots in, South Carolina as far as I can tell is alive and well, And they have to continue to pressure their representatives to do the right thing to help this president. All we've done is gone in there and commandeered the pirate ship. Still got the pirates on board and their muteness. Once again, the government's taking law enforcement serious. So what would you get if you breed senator Tom Tillis, alleged Republican, with senator Mazie Hirano, raging Democrat from somewhere? What would you get if you bred those two? Well, you would actually produce a senatorial moron, a legislator so unbelievably stupid that it needs a constant reminder to breathe. Now while it's very amusing to think about those kind of things out loud and everything else, we, we absolutely need to think about how do we help North Carolina get rid of Tom Tillis. Right? He needs to go. The republicans need to stop messing around with politicians like him. Republicans of North Carolina, you need to primary this jerk. Now just like our own Lindsey Graham, Trump has to be nice and polite, at least for now. But you and I don't. He's a loser. But is he a Machiavellian supervillain? I don't know. What a wonderfully rainy morning we have today. I always have to look for the best in life. I go out there and I'm like, oh, well, I don't have to water the bonsai tonight. Then again it's really cool right now too. This is you know, when everybody somebody, whenever somebody asks you hey what's the weather like down there in the Upstate? Just remember to tell them that they can get all four seasons in a week. Paramount. Buffalo Barack Hussein Obama deported 400,000 illegal immigrants per year when he was in office and nobody said a word. If we were to hold it at a mere 400,000 per year right now after the Biden era 21,000,000 illegal aliens, just the new ones during those four years, We would, that would take fifty two point five years to clear America. And that means to complete deportation, we'll need 13 more consecutive Trump presidential terms. I'm sure that there's gonna be a lot of people getting out there saying, well, that's that's liable to test that whole, constitutional thing. Plus, that would mean Trump would have to live for another two hundred years, or give or take. Now, creatively, since he has to slow down on actually kicking him out of the country, he's decided to reopen Alcatraz. While the courts sit out there struggling to remember that the Supreme Court and the constitution have already ruled and answered illegal immigration questions. But we have article four section four. The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government and shall protect each of them against invasion and on application of the legislature or the executive branch when the legislature cannot be convened against domestic violence. Nowhere do they mention the judiciary. In fact, the 1849 Supreme Court ruling of Luther v Borden. And, you know, when whenever somebody gets out there and says, why do we keep going back to all these old decisions? Well, that's where legal precedent is set and this is, you know, when when a lawyer is going to law school, they have to learn about this stuff depending on what their discipline is gonna be, what their what their area of specialty is gonna be. So they have to learn about some of these things and some of these things hold as much weight today as the day they were actually, you know, published. But going back to Luther v Borden, Chief Justice Roger Taney held that the political branches of government and that the federal courts should decide such questions pertaining to the application of article four section four. So right now, this means these judges and justices encroaching on the power of the executive branch are vile they're the ones violating the separation of power because the president has a duty to protect The United States against invasion even if it's by invitation. They are breaking laws and been the laws to let this happen. Now if you wanna go and try to figure out what invasion means, just go to Johnson seventeen eighty five English dictionary. Invasion is the hostile entrance upon the right or possessions of another. Hostile encroachment. This is what the founders understood the definition of the word invasion to be when article four section four. And, you know, all you know, in Texas, guy went out, went to supper, came home to find a group of illegal aliens in their home using their bathroom, wearing their clothes, and pretending not to speak any English. They were not willing to leave, so they had to call the police to have the illegal aliens forcefully ejected from the home while still wearing the stolen clothes. Next morning, when the father came out of work only to find illegal aliens sleeping in the bed of his truck, They had to be called to eject those illegal immigrants. Would you call that an invasion? Yes. You would. Yes. The 1785 definition of invasion is hostile entrance upon the rights or possessions of another hostile encroachment. Consider, if you will, consider all the illegal alien criminal gang members in The United ...

We would, that would take fifty two point five years to clear America. And that means to complete deportation, we'll need 13 more consecutive Trump presidential terms. I'm sure that, there's gonna be a lot of people getting out there saying, well, that's that's liable to test that whole constitutional thing. Plus, that would mean Trump would have to live for another two hundred years or give or take. Now, creatively, since he has to slow down on actually kicking him out of the country, he's decided to reopen Alcatraz while the courts sit out there struggling to remember that the Supreme Court and the constitution have already ruled and answered illegal immigration questions. Well, that's where legal precedent is set. And this you know, when a when a lawyer is going to law school, they have to learn about this stuff depending on what their discipline is going to be, what their what their area of specialty is going to be. So they have to learn about some of these things and some of these things hold as much weight today as the day they were actually, you know, published. But going back to Luther v Borden, Chief Justice Roger Taney held that the political branches of government and at the federal courts should decide such questions pertaining to the application of article four section four. So right now, this means these judges and justices encroaching on the power of the executive branch are vile are they're the ones violating the separation of power because the president has a duty to protect The United States against invasion even if it's by invitation. They are breaking laws and bending laws to let this happen. Now if you wanna go and try to figure out what invasion means. Just go to Johnson seventeen eighty five English dictionary, invasion is the hostile entrance upon the right or possessions of another, hostile encroachment. The next morning, when the father came out of work only to find illegal alien sleeping in the bed of his truck, they had to be called to eject those illegal immigrants. Would you call that an invasion? Yes. You would. Yes. The 1785 definition of invasion is hostile entrance upon the rights or possessions of another hostile encroachment. Consider, if you will, consider all the illegal alien criminal gang members in The ...

He and his he and his son are are very tall people. Yep. Yep. Yep. So tell me about this family caucus drama. So so I'll give you my version. I've been in the family caucus for about three years now, and and I don't know how much of the backstory you need, but, basically, probably, you know, along with the members of the Freedom Caucus, he's very, very pro life and, the big issue has been abortion and trying to get stronger abortion laws passed. So an activist group called Students for Life went to the church parking lots on Easter Sunday and put pamphlets out against House Speaker Merle Smith and Weston Newton who had the judiciary. Right. And I think they hit a nerve because they blamed, you know, people politicians, we're not allowed to work with packs and super packs. So he can't direct them to do that, but they blamed him and then they blamed him for not being strong enough in his rebuttal of it. So we've had in the middle of all the busy end of season stuff, just complete chaos, with the family caucus. Supposedly, the speaker of the house was personally calling people because he was so butthurt over this and telling them to leave the family caucus. And when the, your dear leader speaks, when you're in the Republican caucus, you do as he says or he will punish you. Oh. He will he'll take away your parking space. It's it's all it's all so silly, but, you know, the people down there take it very seriously. They wanna climb climb the ladder. They wanna stay in his good graces. So, the manufactured outrage I saw from some of the family caucus people defending the speaker, you just don't go into a church parking lot. That that's off limits. I'm like, I think that was pretty good strategy whether or not John had anything to do with it. Right. You know, it's it's not his fault, but it but it happened. And they work with, you know, they work on the same issues as John. They don't work with John, but they support John. So, yeah, it was a a little bit of drama in the middle of a busy week. Yeah. And, I I I got into a little tuffle with a couple representatives who are, I would say, are not Freedom Caucus, but they call themselves Republicans. Oh. And I said it's not where they got attacked, it's who they attacked. And it is the two guys that could easily get some abortion bills taken up, and they decided not to. You know, we passed that $1,300,000,000 VW Scout deal in twelve days. Right. All three committees I'll send it on the governor's desk. They can they can take up an abortion bill. I I just don't think they have the intestinal fortitude to fight. Well, while I got you here, since you were at the SC GOP convention the sa ...

Hour 2 : Straight Talk with Bill Frady (1:00pm) Friday May 9th 2025

Gotta pay a lot of attention when you see one of these guys, one of these jacks, one of these smiling jacks smiling at you and talking to you. It's always a mistake to forget that word usage is used against you in a rhetorical battlefield, and it's used to change the way you're thinking about a topic. Now a lot on my side over the course of time on the second amendment side, for example, a lot of them tend to go on the pro gun, anti gun formulation. Or even worse, they get out there and they start talking about, you know, common sense human rights as one of inanimate objects, stuff like that. And see, that's a mistake because leftist love guns. They just don't want you to have any. In the same way, they don't want you to have any any rights, any freedom, any money. That's why there's been a sea change in their control scheme from outright bans to selective persecution. Right now, the winds of change favor the pro freedom side of the political spectrum and they've suddenly started arming up. I have no idea what and we have several stunning examples to prove that. Although, I tell anybody that buys anything that is, a a defensive item, you can't go out and I I said this last night on the, Get to Steppin' podcast. You can't go out and buy a karate uniform and be Bruce Lee just because you bought it. Now from the New York Times Magazine, there's a piece most patriots on the pro freedom side of the fence thought they would never see. An article includes an illustration that would be at home in any prep or publication. Three, break the glass in case of emergency boxes with the first aid in one, a fire extinguisher in another, and the outline of a gun in the third. That's a pretty bold statement which goes along with our contention that a firearm is just another piece of emergency equipment. But the piece is entitled, My Husband Fears Political Violence, Should We Buy a Gun? And here's a couple of paragraphs. My husband and I are Democrats and we live in a large left leaning city. Concerning the current political climate in The United States and deepening concerns that it will only get worse, my husband wants to purchase a gun for safety reasons. To be clear, we don't have general safety concerns. We live in the heart of the city, and I feel safe. He's concerned about political or ideologically motivated violence. I think guns are evil and I believe the world would be a better place without weapons. But I would hate to regret not having a gun if things get so chaotic that people need to protect themselves. Should I go against my own beliefs because of a possible future threat? Name withheld. Well, why are you, why are you confused on this? I mean, you you sound like the classic, it can't happen to me kind of person. Guns are not evil. Nothing is evil that isn't in in only people are evil. People can be evil. And the ethicist or ethicist tries to dissuade the letter writer from being able to exercise a common sense human right. Few months ago, that same New York Times had another surprising piece. They never planned on buying a gun until they did. And there's an interesting point in that one. We quickly learned that some gun owners don't like the word gun, preferring firearm in part because they felt it carried less baggage. I found myself thinking more consciously about my own language, wondering if I would alienate sources by saying gun or be pandering if I avoided it. We use both words in our project, a kind of compromise. That's a nonsensical fact pattern that they developed on their own. It's not even really a fact pattern. We see the left is tuned in to the language war far better than the pro freedom right. Guns are demonized as evil everywhere you turn. And the leftist propagandize you with ridiculous phrases like gun violence as if the inanimate object is the problem. Now, it's not just the New York Times pushing their people to arm up From Politico, they had they're afraid they're buying guns but they're not voti ...
