Extra: A Supreme Setback For 'Judicial Activism'

7/6/2025
President Trump achieved significant victories at the Supreme Court during its most recent term. Perhaps the biggest was when the Court limited the power of federal judges and their use of nationwide injunctions. The Trump administration has argued that lower courts were abusing their power and using injunctions to halt parts of the administration's agenda, including President Trump’s executive order on birthright citizenship. Former federal prosecutor Jim Trusty recently joined FOX News Rundown host Dave Anthony to discuss the significance of this ruling and how it could impact the Democrats' efforts to slow or stop some of President Trump's policies. Trusty also weighed in on President Trump’s deportation policies and the likelihood that the High Court would support President Trump’s effort to end birthright citizenship for children of people who entered the country illegally. We often must cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full interview. Today on Fox News Rundown Extra, we will share our entire interview with former prosecutor Jim Trusty about the Supreme Court’s recent historic ruling and what it means for President Trump’s agenda.
