Today, we are excited to welcome former WI Senate Majority Leader Bob Jauch (D - Poplar) back to the program! Last week, we talked about the brazen gerrymandering efforts being undertaken by Republicans in Texas. Democrats have responded by leaving the state to prevent the bill from having a vote. Senator Jauch once employed similar tactics here in Wisconsin during the Scott Walker years, so he has a unique insight on this situation. Over the last several years, we have seen a rise in anti-vaccine sentiment largely due to prominent figures like Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. spreading misinformation. The measles are making a comeback, and now, there are several confirmed cases here in Wisconsin. At the bottom of the hour, Janelle Mella of Wisconsin Watch joins us to update us on the situation and what it means for Wisconsinites. This coming Wednesday, the pro-democracy organization LeaderEthics is hosting an educational event on fusion voting in La Crosse. In Texas, the GOP is attempting to redraw the state’s maps to all but eliminate the possibility of any Democratic representatives. Californian Democrats are considering retaliation by doing the opposite in their state. Not enough news outlets are talking about how dangerous this is for democracy going forward.
