8/30/2021
In the 6 years I've been creating 5 Min Sono videos, I've never done a basic ultrasound physics video! Crazy, I know. I finally sat down and made this and am stoked to share it with you! This is video covers the bare minimum ultrasound physics you should know to be comfortable with your ultrasound. In the future I might do a more advanced one to supplement this one! Inferior Vena Cava (2021)

8/18/2021
In this video I talk to you about how to assess the IVC. This isn't going to be a discussion on it's merits, but rather, how to measure it once you've decided that you'd like to measure it. This post had an amazing peer review from Dr. Rory Speigel that you can check out on the website post. Don't forget to check out: Our CME courses here. LAST 5 MIN SONO episode! (Regional wall motion abnormalities)

5/13/2020
It's been a great few years! Its time to consolidate all the projects I'm currently working. Over the past year I've been working to move 5 minute sono, ultrasound podast and ultrasound of the week onto ONE website called www.coreultrasound.com. This will be the last 5 minute sono podcast I'll be sending out on this channel, and it's a good one! This week, we're going to talk about regional wall motion abnormalities! I will definitely still be making podcasts, but they will be published on the Ultrasound Podcast (if you haven't already subscribed to us there, please do! To clarify, I'm still going to be making the same great content, I'm just going to be publishing it on the ultrasound podcast, and on coreultraound.com. Thanks!!

How to Tape IV's

4/12/2019
Even if I work my fastest, it still takes me a few minutes to place my ultrasound-guided IV's. Because of this, I would rather not have to place multiple IV's when they pop out. I have a particular way of taping my IV's to make sure they don't come out. Check out my technique and let me know what you think! Non-linear Probes for Lung Sliding??

3/15/2019
Its is absolutely necessary to switch to the linear transducer when looking for lung sliding (i.e., PTX)? While the linear will definitely give you the best image, watch this video to see my thoughts on using the curvilinear and even the phased array in the eval of lung sliding! While continuing to my work with revamping the Ultrasound Leadership Academy's curriculum, I had this thought. Maybe we don't need to switch every time? Check it out! Want more ultrasound goodness?
