The Cryptid Huntress

On 23 May 1964, Jim Templeton, a firefighter from Carlisle, UK, took three photographs of his five-year-old daughter while on a day trip to Burgh Marsh. Templeton said the only other people on the marshes that day were a couple of old women sitting in a car at the far end of the marsh. He was shocked when the middle picture came back from Kodak displaying what looks like a spaceman in the background, insisting that he did not see the figure until after his photographs were developed, and analysts at Kodak confirmed that the photograph was genuine. Many believed the picture inexplicably showed a spaceman. After the photo was made public, strange things began to happen, including a visit by two MIB's inquiring about the figure in the picture. This week, a former Antarctica worker released a video on Reddit of a UFO being recovered inside a cave in Antarctica, igniting a firestorm online and in the UFO community. There was another leak of an egg-shaped UFO in a cave of Antarctica, which possibly has been hidden for centuries, maybe millennia. The UFO appears to have been buried or concealed, and it is covered in hieroglyphic-like glyphs. It is debatable whether this "leak" is a hoax, or part of a larger disclosure movement. There is a historical account of 300 female werewolves, terrorizing the Duchy of Jülich after making a pact with the devil. This story was published by Georg Kress in 1591 in Augsburg, which later became Germany. These women lycanthropes attacked men, boys and cattle, slaughtering their victims. Eighty-five of them were apprehended and burned at the stake in Ostmilich on May 6, 1591. There is a woodcut image depicting women and wolves committing wild acts of violence that paints a terrifying scene. The image is accompanied by a series of verses outlining the violent acts of the She-Wolves of Jülich, which include cannibalism, infanticide and demonic communion with the devil. On September 12, 1952, a group of children observed a bright object crossing the sky and landing on the property of a local farmer. Accompanied by a few adults, they went to the site where they believed the object had landed. As they approached the location, they were assailed by a pungent mist that made their eyes and noses burn. They then saw a large pulsating “ball of fire” and, nearby, spotted a creature that is now famously described as the Flatwoods Monster. The Flatwoods Monster is one of the enduring mysteries of American cryptozoology and its origin is up for debate. The Falkville Metal Man sighting took place in the evening of October 17, 1973, in Falkville, Alabama. The witness was a 26-year-old police chief named Jeff Greenhaw. He went to the scene and saw a figure standing there that was slightly taller than 6-feet tall and was wearing a reflective material that looked like metal. He said its movements weren't human-like and reminded him of a robot. He took four photos of the figure with his Polaroid camera, claiming there was no response when he tried to talk to it. The figure then ran away at speeds exceeding human capabilities. It didn’t move like a normal human and bounced like it had springs in its feet. Greenhaw chased after it in his patrol car, but he lost sight of it after crashing his vehicle. Greenhaw kept the photos in a safe place for several years, but they were stolen along with his service revolver and a shotgun ten years later. So, what was the origins of the Flatwoods Monster and the Falkville Metal Man? Were they both extraterrestrial in nature, or could they be hoaxes? On the morning of May 18, 1980, the Mount St. Helens volcano erupted in Washington, creating devastation for miles and taking the lives of 57 people. The explosion sent out a sideways blast, destroying everything in its path. Throughout history, there are records of the trials of confessed or accused werewolves. They were hunted, questioned, and executed in much the same way witches were, because witches were often accused of being lycanthropes. These “werewolf trials” give us a historical glimpse at rampant human belief in werewolves, and up to 30,000 accused were executed across Europe as a result. France experienced several dozen werewolf witch trials around the end of the 16th century. In many of the cases, such as that of the Gandillon Family, the infamous "Werewolf of Châlons" and Jacques Roulet of Angers, the accused were also accused of murder and cannibalism. The Ohio Grassman is a Bigfoot-like creature that inhabits the woods of Ohio and is often seen eating wheat, and it is said to build hut-like nests from the tall grass. The Grassman usually are reported being 7’-9’ tall and seems to be much more aggressive than any other Sasquatch species. The Easter Island heads, referred to as Moai (meaning statue in their native language), are monolithic sculptures depicting human figures, said to be representations of the island inhabitants’ ancestors. They were created between the 13th and 16th centuries and there is so much mystery behind them. The Moai are located on a volcanic island called Rapa Nui, also known as Easter Island. Many of the heads can be found around the coast, located on stone platforms called ahu. Many say these sculptures work as protectors, guarding the island from any potential intruders. The figures depict the living faces of deified ancestors, and it is likely that they were modeled after individualized people. Oral accounts from the people of Rapa Nui said that the Moai were endowed with divine power and walked by themselves. By 1868, all the Moai had been toppled. The reasons cited include European contact, civil wars within Rapa Nui society, and natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis. Local legend tells of a story of a powerful woman magically forcing the Moai down. A series of translucent orbs have been spotted and recorded in the skies over the United States over the past week. Some are calling these orbs “plasmoids.” On December 14, 2024, one of these orbs was recorded over Phoenix, Arizona. A drone flew up to this orb and the orb and completely destroyed the drone. A woman in Pennsylvania recorded an orb in the sky as she attempted to communicate with it, invoking the name of Jesus, and the orb appeared to respond. This has all occurred in the midst of multiple swarms of drones being seen across the country and the “DHS, FBI, FAA, DoD Joint Statement on Ongoing Response to Reported Drone Sightings” released on December 17th, says that they are all lawfully in the sky and are normal hobbyists and airplanes, including the plasmoids, orbs and drones.
