It took more than 60 minutes, But Claude Giroux’s Ottawa Senators defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 in overtime, marking Philly’s 22nd post-regulation game of the season. Bill & Steve break down the loss, and discuss the future of the Orange & Black’s goaltending, coaching, and more!

The Flyers and Islanders, as they always seem to do, needed not only overtime, but a shootout to determine a winner in this matinee matchup in South Philly. Ultimately it was Tyson Foerster and Sam Ersson who prevailed, eliminating the Isles from Stanley Cup Playoff contention. In a shocking move just hours before their sports complex neighbors begin a new MLB season in Washington DC, the Philadelphia Flyers announce that they have relieved John Tortorella of head coaching duties and have named Brad Shaw as the interim coach. Bill & Charlie react to the shocking news in an emergency episode.

John Tortorella said on Tuesday night that he’s not interested in learning to coach a season like this. Unfortunately a season like this is what Torts has, and now questions are being asked, loudly, about how much longer he has behind Philly’s bench.
