We had a packed show today as host Gary Williams opened with a recap of the previous night's Payne Stewart Award dinner and its recipient Paul Azinger. Harris English and Dan Hicks joined the program. English talked about winning without his A game; the upcoming Ryder Cup and a little Georgia football. Hicks talked about hosting the Payne Stewart Award dinner; Scottie Scheffler's consistency, whether Keegan Bradley will in fact be a playing captain and the madness that will fall upon Bethpage Black. Williams wrapped the show with our golf dogs of the week segment and our team picks for the TOUR Championship.

The TOUR Championship is upon us and host Gary Williams joined forces with Keith Stewart of Read The Line to preview the season-ending tournament from the wagering angle. Shane Ryan and David Rumsey join 5 Clubs on Golf Channel

We were joined by two of the game’s writers today, Shane Ryan of Golf Digest and David Rumsey of Front Office Sports. Ryan, who has written a book on the Ryder Cup, talked about this year’s competition, the Keegan captaincy, the resumes of Collin Morikawa and Chris Gotterup and Europe bringing basically the same team forward again. Rumsey talked about the state of the big golf sponsorships, the new Versant’s jump into the property rights mix and their flexibility to partner with others and LIV’s first year as a partner with Fox Sports. Gary Williams closed with commentary on this year’s Payne Stewart Award winner, Paul Azinger.
