April 16, 2025 - Season 15, Episode 120 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers re-signing G Max Scharping to a one-year contract on Tuesday. We go over what his signing means and what his contract should look like. The Steelers have now completed all of their pre-draft visits as of Wednesday morning, so Alex and I go over that list of players. We discuss notable players that were not brough in for a visit and what that is likely to mean for a few of them. We also discuss the two running backs that visited on Tuesday and the likelihood of one of them being selected by the Steelers in 2025 NFL Draft. Will the Steelers make three selections in the first three rounds of this year’s draft by the time day-two ends? Alex and I discuss my gut feeling when it comes to that specific question. Alex and I attempt to build a compact list of players we think the Steelers will draft in the first round based on pre-draft visits and pro-day activity. Now that I have caught up more on the tape of Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, Alex and I have a lengthy conversation about him and if the Steelers should consider him a franchise player in the first round and especially if he were to fall to them at 21st overall. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the recent injury news concerning New Orleans Saints Derek Carr and the impact that might have on quarterbacks being selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. We also discuss the likelihood of free agent QB Aaron Rodgers maybe being an option for the Saints. If the Steelers select a defensive lineman in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, could that player wind up being either Derrick Harmon out of Oregon or Kenneth Grant out of Michigan? What if both players are still on the draft board and the Steelers have to decide between the two? Which one is the best fit for the Steelers and why? Alex and I attempt to answer those questions. Alex released another positional draft study over the weekend and this one revolves around running backs. April 11, 2025 - Season 15, Episode 118 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers having Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders in for a pre-draft visit on Thursday and how that trip to the facility supposedly went. On Wednesday, Steelers OLB T.J. Watt had a post on Instagram that went viral, so we discuss all of the commotion that produced. Alex and I dive into whether Watt really was trying to send some sort of message with that picture that lacked context or narration. We also discuss the likelihood of Watt being trading and him ultimately signing a contract extension at some point this summer. I go over why I believe Watt will sign an extension this offseason as it relates to the Steelers projected cash spending in 2025. We also discuss what Watt might be looking for in a contract extension in both APY and cash flow. The Steelers have three additional pre-draft visitors on Friday, so Alex and I roll over that list of three players. We also total up the number of visitors so far and how many we expect to have come to Pittsburgh next week.
