UNSOLVED: AMBER BERBIGLIA FOUND DEAD , CAR STILL RUNNING

12/25/2024
While studying abroad in London, Amber Berbiglia meets Jose Tolsar and returns home in love. After two years of dating, they plan to marry just weeks after her college graduation. One Friday afternoon, Amber leaves her apartment to pay bills and run errands. She stops to refuel at Murphy Gas in North Charleston. Amber texts on her phone until 2:30 p.m. and is scheduled to start work at 4 p.m., but she never shows up. A co-worker calls to check on her, but the call goes straight to voicemail. Later that Friday, a 911 call reports an injured person near a car on Old Sanders Road, under the Robert Edge Parkway overpass in North Myrtle Beach. Police respond quickly, finding a woman lying next to her running car with no witnesses in sight. A cell phone, inches from her hand, is actively ringing with missed calls, texts, and emails. First responders find the woman with severe facial injuries that initially make it appear she had been shot. She had already died by the time help arrived, and no witnesses were present to explain what had happened. Investigators discover the woman’s purse inside the car with cash still intact, ruling out robbery as a motive. The victim is identified as Amber Berbiglia Joining Nancy Grace Today: Barry Hutchinson Sr.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

WILD DASH: BODYCAM AS COPS STORM TEEN’S HOME AFTER HER TERRIFIED 911 CALL

12/23/2024
Rachel Hansen is well known in the Gilbert community as a Bonafide horse whisperer. At 14, Rachel is teaching younger children to ride and breaking yearlings. Rachel is a great student, the only girl on the football team, and a star soccer player. She is so accomplished, she graduates high school early at just 16 years old. After graduating, Rachel runs a busy horse training business, AZ Hansen Horses, finding and breaking wild horses for clients. Rachel also makes a deal with a ranch owner in Queens Creek to live and work on the property as a trainer While living and working on the ranch in Queen’s Creek, Rachel’s relationship with the owner begins to break down. There’s a payment dispute over a deal to breed Rachel’s mare, Dash, and Rachel gets in an accident while transporting horses, damaging a horse trailer. The owner tells Rachel she won’t be paying her for her last month of work and will no longer be needing her services. Rachel removes all of her belongings from the property, and makes plans to move into an apartment that she’s currently subletting to other tenants next week. Rachel moves some of her belongings to the apartment, and while still very bare, it’s enough to sleep in. Rachel decides to spend the night. Around midnight, Rachel wakes up to someone standing over her. Rachel screams and the intruder runs out. It appears they had a key! Rachel’s fiancé, comes straight away to help replace her lock with one from his father’s house. He suggests calling police, but Rachel is convinced the intruder simply didn’t realize the previous tenants moved out. Just after 2 a.m. Rachel Hansen calls 911 and says, “Someone broke in and shot me.” The dispatcher gets Rachel’s address and tries to help her stop the bleeding while police and paramedics are on the way. Rachel says she doesn’t have any kind of cloth or towel near her to use, and the dispatcher notes that Rachel is less and less responsive and it sounds like she’s about to pass out. The dispatcher notes that the shooter has left the apartment, but warns officers to be vigilant. An officer finds her crumpled to the floor of her bathroom with a gunshot wound to the chest. As another officer sweeps the apartment, he finds blood and a spent shell casing in Rachel’s bed. Officers note that the apartment seems oddly empty, but there are no signs of a struggle, and Rachel’s jewelry and other valuables are untouched. The case is still unsolved. GIRL-SCHOOL-SHOOTER'S DARK ONLINE LINKS TO SITE 'WATCH PEOPLE DIE,' ACCOMPLICE IDed?

12/19/2024
A second grade teacher at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin calls 911 at 10:57 am to report an active shooter inside a study hall classroom at the private Christian school. Inside the study hall class, students from several different grades dive for cover as 15-year-old Natalie "Samantha" Rupnow, is firing a 9mm handgun around the class. She is a student at the school and commits suicide before law enforcement breaches the building. No shots are exchanged. Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes says identifying a motive is a top priority, but at this stage of the investigation it appears the motive was a combination of factors. A reported manifesto has been found, but Barnes says they have not been able to verify its authenticity. Police say Rupnow has been in texting with a 20 year old Carlsbad,California man, planning his own mass attack. After police discovered the message Alexander Paffendorf was interviewed by the FBI where he admitted “that he told Rupnow that he would arm himself with explosives and a gun and that he would target a government building." No specific building was named. A California judge has issued a restraining order under California’s gun red flag law. The order requires Paffendorf to turn in his guns and ammunition to police within 48 hours. Neighbors say police entered his home carrying out a big "black gun box." BRIDE IN WEDDING DRESS MOWED DOWN DEAD: DRUNK DRIVER SNIVELS “GUILTY” IN COURT

12/17/2024
Samantha Miller and her fiancé Aric Hutchinson spend the night celebrating their wedding. When the newlyweds leave the reception, the golf cart in which they are riding, is plowed over by a speeding car. Police say Jamie Komoroski is driving 65 mph in a 25 mph zone. Bride Samantha Miller is killed. Jamie Lee Komoroski told officers on the scene that she was headed home when something hit her. The problem with that is her home was in the opposite direction. Komoroski admitted to police that she had been drinking that night, but refused to take a breathalyzer test. Komoroski, 25, is charged with three counts of DUI with great bodily injury or death and reckless homicide. Now, just as Judge Deadra Jefferson is getting ready to begin jury selection for the trial, Jamie Lee Komoroski asks to change her plea from not guilty to guilty. Komoroski did not negotiate a plea deal, meaning the judge does not have to show her leniency for sparing Miller's family a trial. Judge Deadre Jefferson sentences Komoroski to 25 years for reckless homicide; 15 years for the two counts of DUI involving great bodily injury and 10 years for the felony DUI charge. The sentences are concurrent, meaning Komoroski will spend 25 years in prison. Komoroski is now asking that her sentence be lowered.
