In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly having Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders in for a pre-draft visit this week. We discuss everything related to Sanders and the Steelers possibly even drafting him this year in the first round. We discuss the risks and rewards related to drafting Sanders. The Steelers pre-draft visitor list grew again on Wednesday, so Alex and I discuss the players in Pittsburgh on Wednesday. One of those players is Oregon DL Derrick Harmon and so we discuss what a big deal that is. Alex recently posted another draft history study on Wednesday, and it revolves around what the Steelers look for at the wide receiver position. We go over the five players that checked all of the boxes in his study and a few others that just missed that list as well. The Steelers recently re-signed T Calvin Anderson to a two-year contract so we review the numbers and layout associated with that deal. Alex also released a new mock draft on Wednesday, so we go through all six of his selections for the Steelers and the reasoning behind each one of them. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing Alabama QB Jalen Milroe being invited to the 2025 NFL Draft. We discuss the possibility of Milroe being a first-round selection this year and if he could be in play for the Pittsburgh Steelers at the 21st overall selection. Alex and I go over the Steelers Friday pre-draft visitors that included Texas WR Matthew Golden. We talk about the significance of Golden coming to Pittsburgh for a visit and the likelihood of him being the Steelers selection at 21st overall. The Steelers have yet to bring in several of the top defensive linemen in this year's draft class for facility visits and we discuss the significance of that. Alex and I go over a lengthy list of players in this year's draft class as it relates to each possibly being guaranteed to be selected within the first 20 picks. We start this show by going over a recent debit to the salary cap that the Pittsburgh Steelers received on Thursday that revolves around former WR Mike Williams. I explain why that debit came as a surprise. While we are all waiting for free agent QB Aaron Rodgers to make his decision, the three of us discuss his possible contract asking price and especially on the heels of Las Vegas Raiders QB Geno Smith agreeing to a two-year extension on Thursday. With the 2025 NFL owners’ meetings underway in Florida, Steelers HC Mike Tomlin and GM Omar Khan have both conducted media sessions to start this week. Tomlin has had several since Sunday, so we parse everything that he had to say during all of them. That includes his comments on Rodgers, Metcalf, and other players on the roster. We go over a few things that Khan reportedly said during his Monday media session as well. Alex and I discuss the similarities and differences between Metcalf and WR George Pickens based on things Tomlin said during his interviews. We also discuss the Steelers having full confidence in QB Mason Rudolph should Rodgers ultimately decide not to sign with the Steelers.
